Spaghetti Pie

6 oz spaghetti
2 tbl butter or margerine
1/3 cup grated parm cheese
2 well beaten eggs
1 cup cottage cheese
1 lb ground beef or sausage
½ chopped onions
¼ chopped green pepper
1 8oz can tomatoes cut up
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp garlic salt
½ shredded mozzarella cheese


  • Cook spaghetti according to box instructions
  • Drain spaghetti – you should have about 3 cups of spaghetti
  • Stir in butter
  • Stir in parmesan cheese and eggs
  • Form spaghetti mixture into crust in buttered 10 inch pie plate
  • Spread cottage cheese over bottom of spaghetti crust
  • Cook meat, onions and green pepper in skillet until meat is brown and veggies are done
  • Strain off excess fat
  • Stir in un-drained tomatoes, paste, garlic, oregano, salt, sugar
  • Heat through
  • Turn meat mixture into spaghetti crust
  • Bake uncovered 350o for 20 minutes
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and bake until cheese melts
